単位換算はぼくも気になって、調べました。
それでこの北海道大学の文書にたどり着いたことを覚えています。
6、7ページに書いてあります。
しかし、実際にこの換算方法を用いているかは不明確です。 ぼくは、Master´s Programme in Sociology と Master´s Programme in Applied Social Research.

I do have one or more than a year full-time studies in Sociology. Here I listed up the relevant course in Sociology in my academic record.
International Relations A 2008 International Relations B 2008 Global Sociology ⅣA 2008 Global Sociology ⅣB 2008 History of International Relations A 2008 Global Sociology ⅢA 2008 Introduction to Politico-Economic Study Ⅱ 2008 Seminar ⅠA 2010 Seminar ⅠB 2010 Seminar ⅡA 2011 Seminar ⅡB 2014 (Not stated on the Academic Record)
Graduation Research 2014 (8 credits) (This is not described on the Academic Record as well I submitted since it was still on working process. Now it is available.)
Especially, the last 5 courses; Seminar ⅠA, ⅠB, ⅡA, ⅡB and Graduation Research is the Sociology subjects focused on Social Work and young people. My final thesis also employed the same theme. Besides, I took half-year full time studies at Stockholm University regarding with Child and Youth Studies and completed.
Also, it is important to note that Japanese university’s credits systems are different from one in Sweden. According to this Japanese government web pages (http://www.jasso.go.jp/study_a/oversea_info_swe_a.html), some university in Sweden regard Japanese Bachelor students as Magisterexam student due to the fact that it takes 4 years to graduate Japanese University. So, please have a look at the methods to transfer the Japanese university’s credits to Swedish one. If you need any documents regarding with my Academic Records, I can provide you with them. (If the documents will not be accepted because of the deadline of handing document is over, it is unfair because I couldn’t help submit the Academic Record since I’m Expected- graduation student)
Hope you will take it in re-consideration. If above mentioned seem don’t work well, please notify me as soon as possible. That will help me to add another course instead of Master Programmes. Best regards, —–

Dear Tatsuhei,
We do not consider neither International Relations nor Social Work to fall under the heading Sociology, the same goes for Politico-Economic Study. Most Social science fields of study are in one way or another interlinked in the sense that they have connections but these examples are still subjects on their own merit. If the requirement had been 60 ECTS credits of social science courses you would definitely have been eligible, now it is specifically Sociology.
I regret, but this does not alter my assessment.
Best regards,

このあと、ゼミの社会学の授業は換算されても妥当ではないかと主張しましたが、返事はありませんでした。
